Perperikon

The ruins of an ancient Thracian civilisation dating back to 4000BC. A vast complex of palaces and temples hand carved into the stone, the place where Alexander the Great’s mother had the vision that her son would conquer all the way to India.

Dionysus, the Greek God of wine and debauchery was worshipped here with a spectacular fire ritual that gave the priests the power to read prophecies from the flames.
