Thracian Rock Niches and Megaliths

There are several sights for the Rock Niches, which are carved into vertical rock faces and always face the sun. They are the place where a Thracian cult placed the urns of the deceased.

They are also now home to some of Bulgaria’s endangered bird species amongst others, and are a great spot for a day’s climbing. They are surrounded by the towering Megaliths, some resembling pyramids and fantastical beasts.
